Four bright colors of clay give kids worlds of creative opportunities in Melissa & Doug�s Clay Play: Shape, Model, and Mold. Designed for little hands, each of the many accessories is easy to hold and work with while sculpting fun clay figures. The rolling pins allow children to create three different patterns as they play pretend chef. One makes a crazy waffle pattern while another creates long, wide ridges as it is rolled across the multi-colored clay. For the more traditional rolling pin experience, a standard roller is included for smoothing out flat pancake shapes that can easily be rolled or folded into unique sculptures, and kids can use the many other accessories when creating other fun designs and shapes.

While engaging in hours of open-ended fun, kids can stamp patterns into the clay with five chunky carved blocks, and molding an adorable bear, dog, bunny, and frog is easy with the recessed, molded lids of the clay containers. Additional fun and fine motor skill practice comes with the patterned wheel press. It is exciting to roll across flattened out clay while creating a dotted line perforation. Kids can use it to make interesting custom shapes and peel them out of the clay. Extension activities are included on the back of the Clay Play box to highlight the educational value of this fun toy. Children can practice identifying colors, shaping the clay into letters and number, or playing monkey see monkey do by trying to recreate a parent�s pattern or sculpture.
